"We are not on earth to guard a museum, but to cultivate a flourishing garden of life."
— Pope John XXIII

The large, lively, colorful Pater bead is Italian: vintage Murano millefiori glass. Venetian glassmakers on the island of Murano have been making this type of bead for at least 500 years. Alongside the Pater are brass caps, decorative beads of solid bronze, and small rounds of carnelian.

The Aves are vintage carved wood, separated by small beads of carnelian.

The cross of the chaplet is beautifully shaped. It's solid bronze, hand-cast from an old Coptic original, worn smooth.

Cross: 1.4”
Pater: about 14mm
Aves: about 10mm
Length: about 5.5" from the top of the loop to the bottom of the cross
