The Paters of this rosary could call to mind Godric’s shield — the Holy Mother of Jesus. They’re weighty Greek pewter, copper-dipper and brass plated.

The stone Aves are bronzite, deep variegated brown. Their colors could remind us that Godric — the sea-faring merchant! — followed a call to return to the land, where he lived in caves and in woods, while he composed some of our earliest English songs.

The Coptic cross is simplicity itself. It’s solid bronze, cast from an antique original.

The prayer beads are separated by smaller beads of matte glass. The connecting rings are solid bronze.

The rosary is strung on premium quality Soft Flex jewelers’ cable composed of 49 strands of steel encased in nylon, with a test strength of 26 pounds; each end is double-crimped for security.
